Order of treatment

  • >5 years old
  • Treatment should be symptom-oriented
  • Comorbid behavioral disorders separately treated
  • Constipation/Fecal incontinence should be treated first
  • Daytime incontinence should be treated second
  • Enuresis should be treated last

Basic advice

  • Psycho-education (explaining bladder and bowel function/ dysfunction)
  • Bowel/Voiding regimes
  • Secure fluid intake during the day
  • Medication in case of:
    • UTI: Prophylaxes
    • Constipation: Laxatives
    • OAB: Anti Cholinergics
